I am in awe! Your dreads are a dream - how beautiful! I had long dreads myself (done with a dread perm in Amsterdam) but this beats it all! May I ask if you dyed your hair blonde before you put the pink on?

Great site Amy,thanx heaps for setting me straight on the waxing deal, ive tried a combination of backcombing and crochet hook and am very happy but was still wondering about needing wax.
Your locks are great and have added to your natural beauty
i will certainly be keeping an eye on your progress.
best wishes..

Hi Amy,

OMG...I freakin' love your hair and love the site! I'm addicted to it. I just recently got locs and I'm totally loving them. They're still pretty short, so I'm covering them up right now. But as soon as they reach about shoulder length, I'm totally dyeing them pink. You've inspired me! Best 2 U!

Hey... just want to say, you're blog is hugely interesting and has really motivated me to get my dreads done. My hair is about shoulder length and keeps dreadlocking itself at the back, but I want to hold out and get it done with backcombing, but it's a struggle... some of the dreads I can't get out and they're different sizes and thicknesses.... any suggestions, or you think I should just go with the flow?
Keep up with the blogging, and thanks for the pictures! Beautiful!

i just wrote to u asking a question but after reading ur blogs and diary n stuff a bit more, my questions have been answered.. lol.. so nevermind.. and thank you!! =) wait.. i didnt press send or wateva straight away.. i sat here touching them and thinking....... lol... and now i have a question.. how do i make them tighter and harder? LOL... i realise now that was my original question pretty much... except i know how to take care of frizzys now lol... but jus some of my dreads feel kinda soft n loose inside... like not compact n tight... lol... will they just tighten by themselves? i'll probably find the answer as i keep reading. or ive read it already... my memory is no good... but right now im thinkin i dont know how to make them hard...k..?.. can u help? lol. thanks =)

hey.. i'm finding ur site really helpful.. thanks!!.. i got my dreads done at the hairdressers a little over a month ago... they told me to wax them all the time... i thought it would make them tighter n stuff so i did for a while but they just felt horrible so i stopped.. tho still now i sometimes think i should wax them... as they get a little frizzy.... i just read what u wrote on not using wax, and i know u mentioned an alternative.... but i cant remember what that is now lol.. so how can i make mine tighter but thicker and not frizzy n fuzzy?..... i know u said ur no dread expert but so far u seem to know, better than most, what ur talking about and ur not trying to sell me anything so i know ur being honest lol... and yes i most definitely agree on the marketing logo hahaha
