Hello there 
My dreads joined this world on June 24th 2008. Since then I’ve been keeping this blog of their progress and other dready matters.
The internet offers us plenty of websites with everything we need to know about making and maintaining dreadlocks, but it’s still rather daunting to face your dreadies’ first wash, or those first few months when you’re not really sure how much of a scarecrow you’ll be turned into until the knots start locking.
Hopefully this site will answer some of the questions which a formal step-by-step guide can’t help you with. There are loads of pics, showing all the ups and downs of my dreads’ early days, and now their growing maturity, in addition to a regularly updated account of the day-to-day reality of growing dreadlocks.
How the site is organised
Most blogs appear in reverse chronological order by default, but I always find this a bit silly if the point of a site is to show the progress of something. If you click on “Dread Diary” in the Categories side menu, you can read posts in correct chronological order starting at my first day with dreads.
“Dread Blog” will show every single post in standard reverse order, starting at the most recent, with page numbers appearing at the bottom.
The rest is self-explanatory
